Direct billing to your insurance
We offer direct billing to most extended health insurance plans. In many cases this means you only pay the part your plan does not cover, instead of paying the full fee up front and waiting to be reimbursed. Please bring your insurance details to your first visit.
- Coverage, yearly maximums and co-pays depend on your own plan, so we recommend checking your benefits before your visit.
- Some plans require a doctor’s referral for physiotherapy or massage therapy to be reimbursed. You do not need a referral to book with us.
- If your plan is not one we can direct bill, we give you a detailed receipt so you can submit the claim yourself.
WSIB, MVA and IFHP clients
- WSIB (workplace injuries): report the injury to your employer, and bring your WSIB claim number if you have one. WSIB may cover approved treatment, and we handle the WSIB paperwork and approvals. See WSIB workplace injury physiotherapy.
- MVA (car accidents): treatment is generally covered through accident benefits from your auto insurer. Bring your claim number and your adjuster’s details, and we will help with the paperwork and bill your insurer directly. See MVA physiotherapy.
- IFHP: physiotherapy is covered under the Interim Federal Health Program. No referral or prior approval is needed; just bring your IFHP document. See IFHP physiotherapy.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. You can book physiotherapy or massage therapy without a referral. Some insurance plans ask for one before they will reimburse you, so check your plan if you are claiming.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your condition and goals. Your physiotherapist will give you an estimate at your initial assessment and review your progress as you go.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes. You receive a receipt for every visit, and we can direct bill most insurance providers for you.
